Health Education and Promotion (M.S)

This program prepares new and current health promotion practitioners to plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion and wellness programs in a variety of settings. The coursework provides the skills needed by health promotion professionals, as defined by the Society for Public Health Education, the American Association for Health Education, and the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • 100% pass rate in 2017 on the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam
  • 1:8 faculty to student ratio 
  • Service-learning opportunities for students to learn from experience while serving the community

Physical Therapy (D.P.T.)

The Doctor of Physical Therapy program prepares generalist practitioners to deliver best available physical therapist practice for improving movement, function and health across diverse individuals and communities.

  • Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
  • Learn "in context" by using clinical cases and small group discussions
  • Department fosters strong connections with numerous clinics and hospitals in the D.C. area

Nursing (D.N.P.)

Our DNP program will position nurses to meet the increasing demands of the nation’s health care system as it serves a growing and aging population, preparing them to deliver the highest level of nursing practice.

  • Designed for working nurses as an online part-time program with one on-campus component per semester
  • Practice-focused, innovative, evidence-based, and reflects the application of credible research findings

Nursing (M.S.N.)

The MSN program is designed for anyone interested in becoming an advanced practice nurse (APN) providing great career value and enhancing one’s knowledge and skill, all while boosting earnings potential.
